MEMBER SPOTLIGHT
Stephen Villante
Managing Director, Effects Department
Turner Studios

TJ Campbell

Stephen Villante is one of two managing directors within the Effects department at Turner Studios. Originally hired in 2001 to manage the Broadcast Design division, his responsibilities have grown to include Cel Animation and DVD Production Services. Currently, he is responsible for over forty full-time and freelance artists. Prior to coming to Turner, Stephen was a principle in hey!, a New York based design consortium serving clients such as AMC, Bravo, HBO Family, Metropolitan Opera, Nickelodeon and others.

While a student of New York Institute of Technology majoring in architecture, Stephen was introduced to the world of television and post-production. He accepted a job at the now defunct post-production facility, VideoWorks as a messenger, and over the course of several years worked his way up to the position of Vice President/General Manager. From there he became immersed in the world of design, which then led to him starting his own company.

Stephen has two sons, Robert and Liam. He and his wife Marie are residents of Marietta and are active in the community supporting various environmental initiatives. A former surfer, he is now an avid golfer and tennis buff. Besides his involvement in MCA-I, he is a member of the Broadcast Designers Association.
